Relation with Pakistan were ‘very good’, says US President Donald Trump

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the relations between the United States and Pakistan were “very good”.

While departing for Ohio, the US president dished in on the ties with Islamabad briefly and said his administration will soon be meeting Pakistani officials.

Pakistan has simultaneously received allegations of harbouring and aiding terrorists and commendation for its anti-terror efforts. At least 60,000 people have been killed in Pakistan due to terror attacks since the beginning of the war on terror.

However, after the visit of Foreign Secretary Mike Pompeo to Islamabad and Pakistan’s role in the Afghan peace process, the US as well as Special Representative Zalmay Khalilzad admitted that Pakistan was playing a positive role.

However this is not new from US officials to repeatedly asking Pakistan to do more for a war which is not even ours. For a war in which Pakistan suffered 75,000 casualties and over $123 billion was lost in economy. It’s high time now and as Prime Minister Imran Khan has already said that no more work and agreements will be done which effects our people in a negative way and turns out to be a loss for the country.

It’s Pakistan’s Time Now!
