Rigid transportation a distress of decades!

Karachiites have been facing a lot of distress and problems due to the rigid transportation services in the metropolitan and economic hub city.
The city of lights, Karachi! It has lost its charm and essence as politicians, builders, and business tycoons just see it as land for investments and revenues but ignore its infrastructural and maintenance need.
Over the years, the authorities and federal and elected provisional governments have abandoned the infrastructural and new project initiatives.

Daily commutes are stressful, especially when one has to travel long hours moving to and from home.

Karachi the metropolitan city has a population of over 22.3 million people and is also considered as ‘Mini Pakistan’.
Undoubtedly, the city has been generating and giving billions of dollars of revenues and growth in the country’s economy.
The progress on the KCR’s revival is slow, and it might take a few more years for the authorities to put local trains in Karachi back on track.

For men and women who work over 40 hours per week, the pressure of grabbing a seat every day can send stress levels soaring. This forces the salaried class to spend more and more on trips to doctors, pushing them further down the economic and social ladder.
AVAILABLE MODES OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN KARACHI
For now, commuters in Karachi rely on three major modes of transportation to move across the metropolis:
  • Minibusses & Coaches
  • Buses
  • Taxis, Rickshaws & App-Based Ride-Sharing Services
BUSES:

Karachiites prefer using rickshaws and taxis for covering shorter distances. However, for longer routes, people prefer taking buses, which are a much cheaper mode of transportation. Currently, three bus services are serving the people of Karachi, and they are:
  • Privately Owned Buses
  • Public Bus Service
  • CNG Green Bus Service
