Shahroz Sabzwari is teaming up with Saeeda Imtiaz for a rom-com with a whole lot of action.
The film is being made by Kalakar productions, the team behind the multiple award-winning Saawan.
The two leads revealed that their film, titled Qulfi will be a “fully action-packed film.”
“We haven’t started the shoots yet but I’m training very hard for this film,” said Shahroz. “It’s an action film; I need to fight in it so I’m constantly training for that at the gym.”
While the two couldn’t reveal much about their characters, Saeeda did mention, “I am preparing for a role [that] is very tough… I can say its different because it’s something I have not played before and I don’t think on screen anyone has played this type of role so far.”
Shahroz did drop the mini reveal that he’s “playing a hacker/thief.”
Qulfi will be directed by Saleem Daad about whom Shahroz said, “He’s well known in the ad industry and now he’s taking the director’s chair for the first time, that’s why I’m very excited because I know all our scenes are going to be epic.”
The cast also includes Moammar Rana, Shamail Khan, Javed Sheikh, Sana Fakhar and Hamid Ali Khan.
Qulfi is set to hit floors soon and according to Saeeda, it’s expected to release on Eid-ul-Azha, 2020.
