Sindh police gets new uniforms

Sindh government has approved new uniforms for Sindh police.

Sindh inspector General of Police Dr. Kaleem Imam said that the main reason to change the uniforms is to augment the policing process and to render it up to international standards.

Deputy Inspector General Operations Maqsood Ahmed gave a briefing on the new uniforms at the introduction ceremony. Ahmed said that the new uniforms have been designed according to the local weather conditions in line with the latest international standards.

Only Sindh Police will provide the new uniforms to ensure that the fabric quality, color, and stitching remains consistent.

“Local suppliers and vendors will not be allowed to display the new uniforms at their outlets,” reads the press release.

In the first phase, the uniforms will be given to the five units of Sindh Police, i.e., Central Investigation Agency, Traffic Police, Anti-Riot Reserve Platoons, Central Police Office, and Forensic Division Sindh.

For Traffic Police officers, the uniform will be a white shirt, navy blue pant, and navy blue p-cap. The Traffic Police personnel will get a half-sleeve white t-shirt, navy blue pants, and navy blue p-cap.
