There has definitely been a time and our lives when we came across someone that made us feel guilty for the way theyrbreated us and made us think there is something wrong with who we are as humans.
Here is what you can do to let the feeling of guilt go and forgive them:
1: Stand by your truth: You know what you went through. No ones validation or admission should matter.
2: Allow yourself to feel the pain of what they did. You shouldn’t have to say “it’s okay” specially when it is not.
3: Do not open your doors for those hurting you consistently. Hold them accountable and draw boundaries.
4: Avoid being gas lighted. If it hurts, it hurts. Don’t let someone tell you that you are being moody or sensitive.
5: Understand that forgiveness means peace for you. Their apology does not matter and never will. However, you deserve to put that past you and live a happy life.
