Dre is considered as one of the top earners in hip-hop with deep roots in the music industry, beating Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs when electronic company Beats was launched by Dre in 2008.
The music legend Dr. Dre suffered an apparent brain aneurysm on Monday. Dr. Dre is reportedly receiving treatment at Los Angeles’ Cedar-Sinai Medical Center. His team issued a statement from him on Tuesday night via Instagram.
Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shoutout to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One love,” he said in the post.
The company was launched alongside a longtime friend and collaborator Jimmy Lovine that became a hot-seller immediately. Dre and Lovine further sold it to Apple for $3 billion in 2014.
