The government of Sindh has always been at the forefront of services when it comes to investing in development projects for the general public, which includes education, health, food security, safe drinking water supply, sanitation and infrastructure. This time around Government of Sindh has taken another great initiative as they have established a Sindh Institute of Child Health and Neonatology Sukkur. This institute is one of its kinds in Sukkur or its nearing vicinity and it is specifically established to provide quality health care to children and newborns not just in Sukkur but all across Sindh.
Fifty-five out of every one thousand newborn children in Pakistan die at birth, but with quality facilities, it is possible to save the lives of eighty per cent of these newborn children’s deaths. Another revolutionary step of the government of Sindh towards the formation of a healthy society committed to the same mission is the establishment of the Sindh Institute of Child Health and Neonatology Sukkur by the government of Sindh to provide free and standard treatment to children suffering from chronic diseases. The hospital has more than 200 beds, Telemedicine, OPD, Daycare Centre, Emergency, Dental, Operation Theatre, Neonatal Care Unit, Child Care Unit and modern laboratories facilities.
The Mission and Vision of the Government of Sindh, establishing this institute, is to deliver distinctive and complete child health and neonatology services, setting an example for a culture of excellence to be recognized as a supreme centre of eminence in the region. And to enhance the health and well-being of children and newborns in Sindh by furnishing high-quality healthcare centres. The state-of-the-art facilities, a wide range of services, and a vigorous research program all combined will play a crucial role in improving the accessibility to care for the people.
