Theresa May lauded PM Imran’s decision to release Indian pilot

British Prime Minister Theresa May has appreciated Prime Minister Imran Khan’s decision of releasing Indian air force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman after his plane was shot down amid soaring tensions with India.

PM May welcomed PM Imran’s decision of releasing the Indian pilot, which has been widely appreciated by the international community. She mentioned the need for both India and Pakistan to de-escalate, adding that the UK was in touch with both sides in this regard.

PM Imran invited PM May for a visit to Pakistan. The UK premier reciprocated the invitation.
