Rain in general is nothing less than a blessing, not only it cleans up the environment with reduction in pollution, clearing the air, bringing out the lush greens!
However, as there are two sides to every story, similarly, There’s two sides to Karachi rain in specific. No doubt it’s beautiful sign to be witnessed from the outside however when you look at at from a deeper lens is when you realise the same rain that clears the environment is also giving some people the absolute misery.
Karachi is a large city, which still is developing, although the city is well planned, those plans aren’t necessarily executed the way they are mentioned.
Rain itself isn’t the problem, it’s the aftermath or rain that really makes people struggle, with the broken roads, the stuck water, the commute time multiplying, the water entering houses and the list goes on. These are problems that have a solution to it yet are not being taken in consideration! If someone is willing to take an strict action against these basic problems of a large city, things could work out smoothly.
