What do you understand by the word “BYPARJOY” ? Byparjoy is basically a very severe cyclonic storm (VSCS) which is over east central Arabian Sea. Byparjoy is a Bangladeshi name which means “Disaster” in English. It is a cyclone which turns into a very severe and dangerous stormy cyclone. World Meteorological Organization (WMO) named this cyclone. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) is on high alerts since 3 days as they have announced that the “Byparjoy” Cyclone have entered Pakistan and is very close to hit Karachi beach in the next 2 days. Pakistan Government authorities have specially warned the top class area of Karachi Defense Housing Authority (DHA) to be prepared for this cyclone. Authorities have also ordered to remove all the billboards on the roads and banned families to visit Karachi beaches due to the upcoming Cyclone. Karachi and other coastal areas of Sindh to experience severe heavy rainfall from 13th of June till 16th or 17th of June.
