Have you ever woken up and realized that you might not be living your life to the fullest?
that perhaps there were some things you could have done differently, that you could have loved and lived a bit more?
I suppose that’s what happens to you with time. You lose sight of who you were, your goals, and your way of life.
The saddest aspect is that we only become aware that we haven’t lived our lives to the fullest when we are aware that death is imminent and that we don’t have much time left.
The scariest aspect is that we only become aware that we haven’t lived our lives to the fullest when we are aware that death is imminent and that we don’t have much time left.
Having said that, if I only had a week to live, I too would be among those who realize it’s too late to change their lives.
However, I suppose there are a few things I might have done a little differently. It would be during that one week that I would genuinely live for myself.
Do something I’ve never done before, and live each day as if it were my final chance to witness a new day, a new sunrise, and a new beginning.
There will be a tonne of things still to accomplish before I say goodbye while I reflect on the life I have lived.
Like saying sorry to those I’ve offended in the past, thanking those who have supported me like rock pillars, and being appreciative of the friends I’ve met and the memories we’ve shared.
The things I’ve stated before may or may not still apply if I only have a week to live, but there is one thing I would tell everyone I meet:
There is no tomorrow and time will never wait for you.
