What’s Halloween all about!

The dark history behind Halloween is even more chilling than you realised. It is the spookiest night of the year.

The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints. Soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain.

Even during the pandemic the Halloween spending in the US is projected to reach $8 billion in 2020, with 58% of people planning on celebrating.

The Halloween fever isn’t limited to the US, people from all around the globe celebrate the spookiness in many different ways.
