Woman comes back to life after being proclaimed ‘dead’ in Karachi

We have been coming across many incidents where hospital staffs have been making mistakes with treatments and diagnostics throughout the country. However, this particular case has caused a great debate amongst us all as Rasheeda Bibi from Karachi just came back to life after being proclaimed dead by the doctors at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

The 50-year-old Rasheeda Bibi was shifted to the public hospital where the doctors not only pronounced her dead, but also issued her death certificate to the family.

However, blaming the doctors wouldn’t be all alright as the woman came back to life only when she was being prepared for the funeral bath at the morgue.

Her body had been shifted to the morgue for 20 minutes and we had started giving her a funeral bath,” said her daughter-in-law Shabana.

She said a woman who was present in the room who noticed her limbs moving, adding that, “We then hurriedly checked her pulse to find out that she was still breathing.”

Apparently, this sort of incident is fairly common in Pakistan. As of now, Rasheeda Bibi has again been shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Let’s hope the doctors double check this time before making any announcement.
