Darren Sammy pays visit to Quaid’s Mausoleum in Karachi

Peshawar Zalmi captain Darren Sammy on Sunday evening paid a visit to the Quaid’s Mausoleum alongside the team owner Javed Afridi.

Garbed in a traditional shalwar kameez, Sammy entered Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s last resting place holding a flag of Pakistan and paid a tribute to the nation’s founder.

The Zalmi captain specifically praised the architecture of Quaid’s Mausoleum and said it was wonderful. Jinnah, he added, was a great leader and that success in any field was possible with “faith, unity, and discipline” — the national motto of Pakistan as stated by the founder.

Sammy also visited the Quaid-e-Azam Museum and expressed deep interest in items of Jinnah’s personal use.

On the other hand, Zalmi owner Afridi said it was a historical moment to have the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in the city of Quaid.
