EU-PAK ‘New Strategic Engagement’ formed!

ISLAMABAD: The European Union policy chief said that the new strategic engagement with the new government of Pakistan would be an initiation of a more diversified and would definitely lay a foundation for further deepening ties between the European Union countries and Pakistan.

This is yet another milestone achieved by Pakistani officials, as CPEC is under its way and several deals are already made and memorandum of understanding (MOU’s) signed between Pakistan and other Middle Eastern countries like; Dubai, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Qatar, Etc.

Pakistan and the European Union will continue to work together to encourage talks to ensure peace in Afghanistan.

Federica Mogherini, who is the high representative of the EU for foreign affairs and security policy, said on Monday that:

“The EU values the role of Pakistan in the Afghan peace process.”

She was addressing a joint press conference alongside with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad.
