TikTok has recently received a lot of backlash from people. However, in a rare incident, it became the source of reuniting a missing person with his brother and other family members in Sukkur.
According to available details, a video of a man hailing from Sukkur, Sindh went viral on TikTok. This man was identified as Arz Muhammad, and according to his family, he had gone missing one and a half year ago.
As the video went viral, his brother identified him and approached the local police, claiming the person in the video was his missing brother. The Sukkur police located his whereabouts and reunited him with his family.
It is important to note here that TikTok has come under scrutiny over its negative impacts on society. On July 21, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) issued a final warning to the video-sharing social media platform over the promotion of immoral, obscene, and vulgar content.
But at least, Arz Muhammad and his family can sleep well knowing that TikTok helped them locate each other.
