It’s estimated that nearly 31% graduated youth are unemployed. Of that 31% nearly 51% are female and below the age of 30 that are educated, qualified yet unemployed.
Talk about inflation in Pakistan which is way too high and combined with other factors such as insufficient funds, lack of investment, energy crisis, dollar rates shooting up high & rising imports has all led to youth unemployment. We aren’t moving in the right direction instead, we’ve regressed 10 years.
How they ask. For starters, the curriculum and books which our siblings studied 10-12 years ago are still the same being taught to us and our young one’s. There are more jobless people in urban areas as compared to rural areas.
Say 25 years ago our elderly earned less but they were still able to save and afford a house, a car and decent standard of living. Today, maybe our average salary may be higher than them, we’re more educated and qualified but we still can’t afford to buy a house, a car or have a decent standard of living.
It’s wise to say that traditionally Pakistani’s have had a low savings rate. And those who do save aren’t really sure whether that’ll increase and secure their job opportunities.
If we continue to see rising inflation by the day then definitely unemployment will increase, prices of goods will increase, there will be more energy crisis & the outcome will be shooting crime rates & suicide. The government needs to focus on making the investors feel fully secure as to their investments. They need to facilitate the investors & focus more on education and employment rate.
Hopefully the government will pay more attention otherwise, the talented qualified youth will just be wasted, dead men walking on the face of this Earth.
