Continuously treat your negative thoughts as your negative friends- peopl who have good intentions and want the best for you, yet people who you should, in all seriousness avoid and not pay attention to.
Because their words are unpleasant to listen to, you can tell when a friend is being negative. Negative emotions are the same. If you feel uneasy when you think negative thoughts, it means that they aren’t giving you good advice, so you should ignore them. They are thoughts that don’t come from your natural, powerful light, and they usually come from conditioning. As a result, they feel dark.
Although it is never necessary to combat negative thoughts, it is helpful to recognize that these energies are ineffective advisors.They appear to be advocating for the best, like the negative friend, but in reality, they are doing nothing to help. In fact, they are hindering rather than assisting.
A painful thought can be allowed to pass once it is realized that it is not helpful, or it can be ignored as false and replaced by any positive or powerful thought you choose.
It can be helpful to first open yourself up to the most expansive and liberated aspect of yourself in order to make room for thoughts that are more potent, abundant, or creative. Try asking yourself something like, How would I feel if I knew that I was one with the universe around me?”A mind that feels closed, small, and cut off from abundant power might benefit from this by providing some space and drawing attention away from it.
