It is what it is. You cannot deny it. It can be love and love sometimes but majority of the times its love and hate. That is because it is somehow structured this way. As much as you adore this one particular relationship, it can at times get to your nerves and you would want to break their heads. They are your only enemy you cannot live without.
You know them inside and out, all their secrets, all their mischief and surprisingly, in a blink of an eye you can guess whenever they are lying to you or hiding their emotions over a particular thing. Because this is just how close you guys are. Even if you guys get into a fight; a really bad one, you would still think of their betterment and sometimes find a way back to reconciliation as you know deep in your heart that you cannot live without them by your side. When the world has left you all alone you will find them standing strong and cheering for you. They would obviously eat the last slice of your pizza or the chocolate you had hidden in the fridge even though you had told them not to, but they would also be the first one to bring you a pizza and a bar of chocolate when you fall sick.
Yes, when you ran away safely from your mother after breaking that glass vase or bumping your fathers car, they were the ones to break it to your parents that you did it and hence the hate relationship. They are also the ones to cheer you up after that terrible scolding session from your parents and hence, the love. This relationship between you guys can go through a rough patch but it can never be broken. No matter how bad the relation gets you will always find a way to crawl back to them.
When the world goes against you, your sister or your brother would always be there by your side. When the world tells you that you cannot do it, they will make sure that you do it. When you are low, they’ll be your clown. When you’re stuck in the dark, they’ll be your ray of hope because that’s how much love there is between the two of you. Never take this relationship for granted and always value the bond, respect it and celebrate it. Because at the end of the day, all you have is family!
