Looks like Twitter users are celebrating the ‘World’s Biggest Tea Party’ today

On this day in 2019, Indian wing Commander Abhinandan was captured by Pakistan Air force in Operation Swift retort and was held captive in Pakistan for 60 hours after his aircraft was shot down in an aerial dogfight.

 

Pakistanis are popular for their hospitality and they also showed a good example of this kindness as Abhinandan was treated with a cup of tea and was sent back to India. India’s commander had said called the tea “fantastic”!

 

On February 27, the Pakistan Air Force shot down Indian planes violating the country’s airspace and their pilot had just arrested Abhinandan. Pakistan released videos and images showing wing commander being rescued and was given first aid. Pakistan decided on 28 February 2019 to release him. He returned to India at Wagah on 1 March 2019.

 

On this very day in 2019 (February 27), the Director-General of the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, ISPR, posted on the social networking website Twitter, said that

 

“Pakistan Air Force shot down two Indian fighter jets violating Pakistani airspace”.
