The entire Muslim community has not only been impressed by New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern but are also praising her efforts to empathize with Muslims and lead New Zealand to a united front after the deadly Christchurch attacks.
Jacinda Ardern did not only unite her country in the face of an adversary but she also showed respect for the Muslim faith and went door to door wearing a hijab offering condolences.
In her speech for the Friday congregation, marking a week to the deadly attack, Ardern read out a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). “According to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), the believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When any part of the body suffers, the whole body feels pain,” she said.
The first parliament session in New Zealand after the deadly attack in Christchurch also began with a recitation from the Holy Quran.
Following these developments, Jacinda Ardern was invited to Islam. The video of the invitation has been going viral.

“To be honest with you, what brought me here it’s you. I have been crying every day for the last three days. I have prayed that other leaders can look at your leadership skills. And my other wish is I hope one day you enter into Islam,” the man is seen questioning the NZ premier.
“Islam teaches humanity and I think I have it,” Jacinda Ardern is heard replying.
Although she politely turned down the invitation to convert her faith, Jacinda Ardern still earned massive respect for showing sincere empathy with Muslims at the time of need and standing in solidarity without any racist beliefs.
