Problems and solutions post Education

Youth in our country is desperate to work but what they lack are the ‘skills’ required to do a job. Our Education system is flawed and the way of teaching is becoming monotonous by the day. There are many pitfalls and hurdles that need to be addressed starting from renewing the curriculum. The syllabi our siblings studied from 10 years ago are still being taught to this generation.

There is a dire need to reinvent the education system starting from training the faculty in a way that they acquire skills needed for ‘future.’ Young mindsets need to be incorporated in the system so a healthy competition is fostered and newer things are taught. A fresh perspective is needed & who better than our recent young & fresh post graduates? With a little help they can flourish and bring about a revolution in the entire system.

Firstly, the university management needs to ensure that students don’t just ‘pass a course’ for the sake of attaining a degree rather they work towards it. They should burn the midnight oil to work towards achieving and learning it as this will benefit them.

Every institution should have a counsellor as students require guidance and direction for higher education. Institutions abroad help a student in a number of ways in gaining skills that go well beyond a teacher-student classroom. Some have incubation centres that give students a forum to launch a product for entrepreneurship. This allows trail & error & helps them secure funds which brings motivation in students to launch their start-ups & collaborate across borders.

Moreover, there are so many courses available online which students can take and it will help them gain more knowledge, polish their skills & bring out fresh talent.

When universities fulfil their promises, students get more motivated, the mundane status-quo changes and society witnesses a positive change.
