The Quadriplegic videographer who travels around the world!

Australian national Jaimen Hudson, whose passion is to travel around the world; was fond of traveling to different places from a very young age but unfortunately, in 2008 he faced a severe accident at the age of 17. The accident happened due to the motorbike which left him a quadriplegic.

A quadriplegic is paralysis caused due to the illness or injury that results in the partial or total loss of use of all four limbs and torso; paraplegia is similar but does not affect the arms. It left Jaimen confined to a wheelchair.

But that didn’t stop him from traveling and making videos around the world. At first, Jaimen thought about traveling but didn’t know how it would happen because of the disability, traveling would be very difficult and would require caretakers other facilities which would be needed for his accommodation.

It happened when his mother planned a trip for him after his accident; from there he decided that he is not going to let the wheelchair hold him back from the things he loves.

Jaimen makes videos of beautiful landscape and migrating marine life, he uses a drone to capture videos.

He sells prints on his website and through his gallery, Esperance.

His family has supported him through thick and thin and he says that “I’m super lucky to have such people in my life.”

We all need to learn from Jaimen and not let our problems come in our way of passion. It also encourages us to live our life with positivity and be thankful for what we have.
