Egypt offers a wild adventure for those who really are looking for an adventure and experience. Egypt is a home to ancient temples, desert, palm trees, Red sea and much more. It has in store something or the other for everyone.

There are quite a few transport options that you can take to travel around Egypt for eg:

  • Egypt by Plane
  • By train- which is most common and will take you to main touristy attractions and cities
  • By bus- Go-bus is used most frequently and is cheapest way to travel around.
  • By cruise

The 2 week Egypt itinerary:

Day 1 & 2- go out and explore the Great Pyramids of Giza and Cairo.

Cairo the capital of Egypt is so beautiful and diverse. No trip is complete without going there or making a trip to Giza and looking at the Pyramids. The view of Pyramids from your hotel would be unbeatable and there are a lot of hotels pocket friendly offering the spectacular view of the Pyramids. Hiring a guide is also a great option, you can observe Sphinx, The Great Pyramid and other viewpoints!

After that head towards the city for some sightseeing where you can checkout Citadel of Seladin or visit Khan El-Khalili Bazaar. You’ll be pretty exhausted by then after which you can visit the Egyptian Museum and find oasis gardens in the city as well.

Day 3- head towards Alexandria and explore it.

For all of you visiting Alexandria you’ll be stunned. It is such a beautiful weekend getaway. It was known well for its history, philosophy, learning etc. It was a centre of learning about culture, arts and human mind but tragic battles destroyed most of the treasures. You can also visit Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa gardens of Montaza and royal palaces. Do walk around the Corniche by the Mediterranean ocean, sit and enjoy the café culture.

Day 4- Go to Cairo and visit West Desert of Egypt.

It is the most peaceful and beautiful place to visit in Egypt. You’ll be shocked to see the landscape and would take a moment to take in the views. You’ll walk around and see black desert, white desert, magic spring and Crystal Mountain, it will feel like a dream, you won’t believe your eyes. You’ll get so relaxed and happy, disconnecting from the world to connect with the nature for a while is necessary.

Day 5- Go exploring the rest of Cairo and then grab your transport to Aswan.

You can wakeup to watch sunrise and incredible views. After having breakfast observe the sphinx, fish tail, go to Aswan next.

Day 6 – spend the day exploring Aswan. Visit the ancient temples as its bustling with the history and then start your day at the Philae temple. You’ll need a boat ride for it as it’s in the middle of Aswan low dam next, you can go to temple of Isis and Hathor.

Day 7- take Nile cruise and go sailing overnight to Kom Ombo.

A Nile cruise will definitely be adventurous and you’ll see Egypt from a totally different perspective and angle.
