Using plastic bags at stores and hotels banned in Lahore

The Lahore High Court has banned the use of polythene bags at hotels and shops in Lahore.

During a hearing on Friday, the court gave shops and hotels two weeks to phase out plastic bags.

In the next phase, the court plans to ban the use of plastic bags in other cities as well.

The judges asked company representatives when they would stop producing plastic bottles.

The Punjab Wildlife Department assured that the order would be implemented.
