Do you even remember what it feels like to travel? After a complete air ban for over 5months, things now seem to be getting normal. This doesn’t mean corona is over but things are opening up for the economy not because its safe to do so.
However, due to some reasons, I recently had to travel to Dubai and believe me when I say this, the whole experience was very different and nothing seems to be even close to normal anymore. Starting off with the mandatory PCR test while exiting the country, it is mandatory, and with the test comes a lot of forms and other necessary requirements.
moving forward, the whole travel experience, airports don’t feel like airports anymore. There are a very limited number of flights taking place at the same time in order to avoid a large crowd and a lot of people at the same place at the same time. As far as I remember, airports are the busiest and the most happening place, people are coming back to their loved ones, some are saying goodbye, all of this has slowed down. It was extremely weird to see all this.
Furthermore, the necessary SOPs. Wearing masks and gloves throughout your journey is a task!! Salute to all the frontline heroes who have been doing so for the past few months s to save our lives. Major respect.
Sanitizing yourself every half a. hour, 6ft distance at all times, all of this is not even close to normal for us!
The immigration and check-in process are longer, one would take a lot of time to adjust to the new normal.
But it is what it is right? Better be safe than sorry!!
