Why did doctors recommend Nawaz Sharif to get married soon?

According to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s top political advisor, the cardiologist who produced a recent report on PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s physical status has obliquely urged that his patient marry since he suffers from “broken heart syndrome.”

Since a judge allowed him to leave the country for medical treatment on a four-week bail in 2019, Nawaz has been living in self-exile in London. Despite his frequent promises to return, he has never stated when he intends to do so.

On Tuesday, Dr Fayaz Shawl, an American cardiologist of Indian descent, delivered a three-page medical report to the Lahore High Court. It warns Sharif against travelling “without first receiving final treatment in London.”

“If he [Sharif] returns to solitary confinement, he may acquire what we term the takotsubo syndrome as a result of the stressful environment,” Dr Shawl said in the study, adding that it might have “devastating repercussions.”

“Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, or “broken heart syndrome,” occurs when the heart muscle gets unexpectedly startled or weakened,” according to a screenshot from a medical website, www.svhhearthealth.com. It usually happens after a period of intense emotional or physical stress. The condition is only temporary, and the majority of people recover in two months.”

“Dr Sahib [Fayaz Shawl] has indirectly sought to urge that Nawaz Sharif get married,” Gill said, referring to his wife’s death, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who died on September 11, 2018 in London after a protracted battle with cancer.
