Skin conditions like , inflammation, psoriasis or eczema can be causes of dark circles, these conditions can cause itself a redness or darkening of the skin. People suffering from skin conditions can find it hard to get rid of dark circles because, pigmentation left behind from these conditions can remain on the skin even after the condition is under control. And people suffering from hyper pigmentation can suffer alot because of this.

Rubbing your eyes can also cause dark circles, it affect the eye area in different ways, both related to pigmentation and the blood vessels below the skin. Rubbing your eyes can cause your skin to become thicker and darker. Excessive rubbing can also lead to broken blood vessels beneath the skin, which lead to the appearance of darkness and can harm your skin around the eyes which is already thin compared to the other part of bodies.

Allergies can also can under eye pigmentation, people who deal with seasonal allergies might also experience puffiness around the eye area.

Dehydration is one the main reasons for dark circles, when the skin is dehydrated, it can look a little more dark.
