Maulana Fazlur Rehman called off plans to block highways across Pakistan after parliamentarians and workers were arrested last night during a raid at Parliament Lodges.
He said there’s ‘’no need’’ to block the roads now since all workers & parliamentarians have been released.
Yesterday, police raided Parliament Lodges & arrested at least four legislators, along with two dozen Ansarul Islam volunteers.
Maulana Fazl directed party workers to open the highways they had earlier blocked & he told that his workers will block the highways again if those arrested weren’t released.
All highways linking Balochistan with Sindh and Punjab were blocked by the JUI-F workers at various points. Traffic was suspended between Quetta and Karachi after the JUI-F activists blocked the National Highway at Mastung, Kalat, Khuzdar Uthal and Hub.
