For tourism purposes a Pakistani company has bought a 14- story Italian cruise ship. It has been anchored at Gadani port.
A 14-storey high cruise ship has arrived at Gadani, which has been bought by Pakistan and upon seeing it in good condition, Pakistani authorities are mulling over to use this cruiseship for Tourism purposes. Celestyal Experience, formerly known as Costa Romantica, is a 1990s vintage ship built for Costa Cruises.
The Italian shipbuilder produced the 56,800 gross-ton cruise ship, which was introduced in 1992. It was purchased for shipbreaking by a Pakistani business, New Choice Enterprises, but after seeing it in “excellent condition,” they opted to turn it into a hotel.
According to reports, the cruise ship underwent a major renovation and overhaul in 2011 as part of a life extension initiative to bring it up to date. Characteristics of a 14-story cruise ship.

According to the firm, they requested permission to anchor the cruise liner near Karachi Port Grand but were denied owing to its large size.
The ship is now moored at the Gadani Shipbreaking Yard.
